When transferring a domain name to Web4Africa, it is extremely important that you comply with all of the factors listed below:
- Domain Lock status: The domain name must be unlocked. A locked domain name cannot be transferred.
- EPP Code: You must supply us with the correct EPP code (also known as Domain Secret code) for the transfer to be successful. If you provided a wrong code already, please contact us with the correct one.
- Privacy Protection: This is also known as WHOIS Privacy Protection or ID Protection. This function must be disabled.
- Admin Email: You must have access to the Admin Contact email address, or inform the current Admin contact. A verification email will be sent to the Admin contact and the instructions in the message must be complied with, for the transfer to be successful.
Note: It is important to understand that domain transfers can take up to 5 days.
